Disciplined Grace & Accountability

2) Christ-like living is a life of “disciplined grace” and accountability. If you are to graduate from babyhood Christianity, a disciplined lifestyle based on divine help and sustenance is mandatory. Jesus learnt obedience by the things He suffered. Discipline may be defined as a behaviour and order maintained by training and control. Therefore, it is necessary for any development and is required to live in conformity to the will of Father God.  Equally, there can never be growth without accountability. Father God expects all of His children (without exception) to be accountable to someone, for it keeps us balanced and on the straight and narrow, so to speak. Let's look at some scriptures:

36But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. 37For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced. 12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. 2Moreover, it is [essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found faithful [proving himself worthy of trust].

CONFESSION - Help me to live a fruitful, disciplined life and be accountable. Help me to bridle my tongue that wholesome words may always come out of it. I shall be faithful in my walk with Christ.
