STEP 6 - Ask God how you can bless the offender. God's command to us His children is to bless those who persecute us and not to curse. Several years ago, I made a covenant with God that I would walk in love towards all regardless of what they did to me or said about me. I told Father God that I would not repay evil with evil but rather with good.
Years went by and 'everything' seemed to be progressing nicely in my love-walk until somebody sent a devilish, demonic text to me. I was so shocked that I asked Daddy what He would do about it? But He responded by asking me what I would do about it. To my amazement, He told me to go and buy the offender a bouquet of flowers. My immediate response was, 'sorry?'. The Lord repeated Himself thrice and said nothing after that. You see, I love Father God and revere Him more than anyone but my 'flesh' was kicking and fussing. To cut a long story short, I obeyed the Lord and went to buy the offender the flowers. By so doing, I released myself from the pain of what was done to me.
Listen saint of God, Father God will not change His principles or His commands to make an exception of you! His commands are NOT burdensome. Let's meditate on the following scripture again: "21If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink..............19Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord.20But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink..."
CONFESSION - I purpose to always repay evil done to me with good so help me O Father God. I shall no longer avenge myself but leave the way open for God's wrath.
