There are several marks of spiritual babyhood which we shall be looking at in the following weeks. Please allow the content therein to be a barometer against which you can measure your spiritual progress.
Mark No 1 – An inability to feed oneself.
This is where we all begin, being fed with the milk of the word but God never intends we remain here. Our discipleship level 1 slogan reads, “God saves fools but He does not keep them!”
12 For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God's Word. You have come to need milk, not solid food.
Mark No 2 – An inability to feed others.
It is impossible to give to others what you don’t have in yourself to give. We are expected to make our Father’s word the priority in our lives – it must be our final authority. There are no debates, no arguments, no philosophies and no exegeses but the rich dwelling of His word in our hearts.
CONFESSION - May Father God give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, the eyes of my understanding being enlightened that I may know what is the hope of His calling.
